Just arrived in Faisalabad Labour Qaumi Movement has announced a dharna (sit in) in front of District Jail Faisalabad where four of their leaders are imprisoned for the last 10 months.
There are thousands of workers participating in this Dharna after walking miles on May Day rally.
Mukhtaran Mai has also walked miles to reach in front of District Jail. She is along Farzana Bari, Nazli Javed of Labour Education foundation and many more. Jamil Umer of Awami Jamhuri Forum is speaking now and telling the i imprisoned leaders that they are not alone, we are all with you and show solidarity with you. He is speaking against feudalism and saying that we will not sit idle.
I told the workers that we will not accept defeat. We will continue our fight. We will not be provoked. We will continue our efforts for the release of the four imprisoned leaders. I broke the news that tomorrow the Supreme Court will hear the bail application. I told that we do not want any favor from the courts, we want justice, our leaders are not criminals, they are in jail because of our fight for better wages.
Fanoos Gujar president of Pakistan Awami Party is speaking at present. He is speaking against the unjust system.
