To realize the importance of mass acceptability of Urdu TV channels in Pakistan, Cable News Network (CNN), the most popular TV channel to provide 24-hour television news coverage in the United States, is interested to launch its Urdu Edition for Pakistani viewers.

May be, following the CNN's India version which is a joint venture between CNN and a local Indian media organization under the brand name "CNN-IBN", CNN Management will also seek partnership or acquire local TV channel. There are also rumors that the TV Channel will pay its employees in US Dollars.
