SC directs government to recover money from pilgrims who were paid from the national exchequer to go for Hajj. The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday directed the federal government to recover money from all pilgrims who were paid from the national exchequer. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhmmad Chaudhry, while heading a six-member bench, also directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to launch criminal cases against those who assisted in the scam as well as flouted the rules and regulations by sending 270 persons to perform Hajj. The FIA submitted a report to the SC which revealed that a large number of pilgrims were sent for Hajj by the ministry for religious affairs without any payment. According to the report, the interior ministry also wrote a letter to the ministry of religious affairs for sending officials for performance of Hajj. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa claimed that anyone trying to cover up the scam was an accomplice in the corruption case.

The chief justice also observed that the Hajj scam investigation had been spoiled by former Director General (DG) FIA Waseem Aftab.

The Courts decision is a great service to those who performed Hajj at national exchequers money. After returning the money they can earn “SAWAB” and also claim to be full time REHMANI HAJIs.

All the journalists who went on the “Rahmani Hajj”, now when you return the looted money gifted to them as the act of kindness from their masters. Many renown media groups’ workers and owners have done this Rehmani Hajj, as posted here in many threads like Sabir Shakir, Asma Sheerazi, SM Shakeel from ARY Group and many other.

I think once again it’s a great effort of the respected Supreme court of Pakistan, now the poor people of Pakistan hopes are toward judgment of CJ that how and when they rebuke the culprit who always scoff up to their rights and funds just for there evil sakes.

All the members are invited to discuss and share their expressions on this serious issue…..
