Ireland beat the Netherlands by six wickets in a high-scoring battle of the minnows. Batting first the Dutch, buoyed by a Ryan ten Doeschate century, scored a healthy 306 in their 50 overs . In reply, Ireland got off to a great start as their skipper William Porterfield (68) and Paul Stirling (101) putting-up a stand off 177. The O'Brien brothers picked up the pieces and saw Ireland home.
